App bloat
Each app adds scripts to every page. Ten apps doing what two native features could is the commonest cause of a slow, low-converting store.
We build and fix Shopify stores so they load fast, convert better and stay easy for your team to run. Design and development, one team.
A Shopify development company builds and improves Shopify stores: themes and custom sections, product and collection templates, apps and integrations, migrations from WooCommerce or Magento, speed work, and Shopify Plus checkout customisation. The aim is a store that loads fast, converts well and that your own team can edit without a developer.
We build it with SEO and CRO in from day one, alongside our ecommerce SEO and CRO work. Browse all services.
| Theme + sections | Custom theme | Headless (Hydrogen) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| When it fits | Most stores: a clear catalogue and a standard shopping journey | A catalogue or journey the themes can’t shape | Rich content, several storefronts, or speed needs a theme can’t meet |
| Who edits it | Your team, in the theme editor | Your team for content, a developer for structure | A developer for most changes |
| What it costs to keep | Lowest: updates come with the theme | Medium: we maintain the code | Highest: two systems to run and update |
A well-built Online Store 2.0 theme with custom sections suits most stores. Go custom or headless only when your catalogue, content or performance needs outgrow it. Decide by three things: how complex the catalogue is, who will edit the store every week, and what the build costs to maintain once it is live.
An Online Store 2.0 theme, set up properly. Your team edits every page.
Bespoke blocks for the pages that sell: product, collection, bundles. Still the theme editor.
A catalogue, filters or a journey no theme shapes. We take on the maintenance.
Hydrogen or a custom front end, only for content or speed a theme can’t reach.
Each app adds scripts to every page. Ten apps doing what two native features could is the commonest cause of a slow, low-converting store.
A custom front end on a small catalogue buys complexity, not sales. Your team ends up waiting on a developer for every banner.
A perfect speed score on a page nobody wants to buy from helps no one. We fix what shoppers feel first: the product page and checkout.
Five jobs. Some stores need one, a new build needs all five.
We read the store the way a shopper does: how fast it loads on a mid-range phone, which apps load with it, and where visitors leave the funnel. Then we sort every app into keep, replace or remove, and hand you a ranked fix list with the work each item needs.
Theme setup, custom sections and product and collection templates, designed in Figma and built so merchandisers can change pages themselves, without code. Our website development team builds it, with SEO and CRO in the template from the start.
Products, customers and orders move across from WooCommerce, Magento or another platform. Every old URL gets a redirect to its new page, checked before launch and again after in Google Search Console, so the rankings you have earned carry over.
Cart and checkout improvements, upsells and bundles that raise the basket, and speed work on every template. We test one change at a time so you know what worked, and we read the result against CRO research, not hunches.
Reviews, email and WhatsApp apps, your ERP, inventory and shipping, and server-side tracking so Meta and Google see real orders. Each connection is tested with a live order before launch, and documented so your team can see what talks to what.
Native Shopify features first, apps only where they earn their weight. Your Shopify admin, apps and theme code stay in your name from day one. See all services for what sits around the store.
Design in Figma, build on Shopify.
Speed, funnel and where shoppers get stuck.
Email, WhatsApp, ads and server-side tracking.
Revenue per session: your store’s revenue divided by its sessions, which folds conversion rate and average order value into one figure. We compare it with the store before the work, then report it every Monday from your own Shopify records, next to page speed and the change that moved it.
The number
Revenue per session
What each visit to your store is worth.
Store revenueSessions
Weekly · every Monday
It can rise while orders get smaller. Revenue per session catches both.
More visits to a store that doesn’t convert only raises ad spend.
Faster pages help only if more shoppers then buy. We report both.
It depends on the job: a theme setup, a custom build, a migration or ongoing optimisation each price differently, as do catalogue size and integrations. We audit first, so you see a ranked fix list, the scope and a fixed price before you commit. Shopify bills its plan and app fees to you directly.
Weeks 1–2Audit
Speed, apps and the funnel, read as a shopper reads them, with a keep, replace, remove list and a ranked fix plan.
Week 2Number
Revenue per session, or conversion rate or AOV if that’s the real constraint. Written down before we build.
Weeks 3–6Build
Theme, custom sections and templates, integrations and redirects, reviewed with you every week so nothing surprises you at launch.
Week 7Launch
Test orders, tracking and redirects checked, then live. Nothing goes out without your yes.
Weeks 8–12Optimise
Cart, checkout, bundles and speed, one change at a time, with every Monday’s number beside it.
Also beauty and wellness, and food and beverage brands selling direct.
Online stores
Launch a store, or fix one slowed down by apps and a stuck theme. More orders
Fashion brands
Big catalogues, sizes and returns need clean templates. More repeat orders
Jewellers
High-value baskets reward trust, good photography and fast pages. More store walk-ins
Manufacturers
Wholesale and B2B ordering on the same store. More dealer enquiries
Not a fitIf you aren’t on Shopify and don’t plan to be, see website development. And if you want headless only because it sounds faster, we’ll probably talk you out of it.
Four to eight weeks for most stores, from audit to launch. What stretches it is scope: custom sections, a large catalogue, many integrations. Migrations add time for moving data and checking redirects. We give you a dated plan in the first two weeks, and flag early if anything on your side, such as photography or copy, could slow it.
Yes. We move products, customers and orders, map every old URL to its new page and set up redirects, so the rankings you’ve earned carry over. We check the redirects before launch and again after, in Google Search Console. Plan extra time for large catalogues and customer data, and we’ll scope it in the audit.
Only at scale, or when you need checkout customisation, B2B features or several storefronts. Most stores run well on standard Shopify with a good theme and a few native features. We check which plan fits your orders and plans for growth, and tell you plainly if Plus isn’t worth it yet.
As few as possible, with native Shopify features first. Every app adds scripts that load on your pages, so each one has to earn its place. In the audit we sort your apps into keep, replace or remove, then rebuild what matters natively where we can. Reviews, email and WhatsApp apps are usually worth keeping.
Not with proper redirects and content mapping. Rankings dip when old URLs lead nowhere, titles change without a plan, or product pages lose their content. We map every URL, keep titles and copy that rank, and check indexing in Google Search Console after launch. Traffic can still move in the first weeks, so we watch it daily.
Yes. Speed work starts with the app clean-up, because third-party scripts are the usual cause. Then images, theme code and fonts, template by template, measured against Core Web Vitals before and after. We report the change next to revenue per session so you see what speed did for sales.
Yes: design and development together. We design in Figma around how your shoppers buy, then build the same pages on Shopify, so nothing is lost between a designer and a developer. You approve the design before we build and the store before launch, and your team can edit every page afterwards.
Yes. We build for D2C brands selling in India, the UAE, the US and Canada. We plan around your time zone, tax and shipping rules, and your payment gateways and carriers, and we’re on the call with you, not behind an account manager. Meetings are set for hours that suit your team.
Shopify is hosted, so you work within its checkout and theme rules, and apps can add monthly cost and page weight. Deep customisation of the checkout is limited outside Shopify Plus. For most D2C brands that trade-off is worth it: you get speed to launch, reliable hosting and a store your team can edit.
Yes. Brands in India run Shopify stores, take payments through Indian gateways, UPI and cards, and ship across the country or abroad. We confirm gateway availability, shipping partners and GST settings while scoping, because they differ by plan and by where your customers are. We build for Indian D2C brands from our Chennai team.
Yes. The Shopify account, theme code, apps, domain and data are in your name from day one. We work as staff in your account, so leaving is easy and your team can edit pages without us. Nothing is locked behind our login, which keeps us earning the work every month.
Not quite. Shopify is a hosted ecommerce platform: it runs the servers, security, checkout and admin for your store, so you don’t buy separate hosting. You still own the brand, products, customer data and domain. What it doesn’t host is arbitrary websites, so a blog or tool outside the store runs elsewhere.
A Shopify web designer shapes how your store looks and how shoppers move through it: layouts, product pages, collection pages and the checkout path, usually in Figma first. A developer then builds that design in the theme. We do both together, so the design that gets approved is the design that ships and converts.
A 30-minute call. Send your store link and we’ll tell you what we’d fix first. Read more on content marketing for the pages around it.
